When most people think about legal risk, they picture endless PDFs, armies of associates, and the kind of jargon that makes strong coffee taste watered down. SCOREalytics stepped in to cut through the noise. Born inside Baker McKenzie’s consulting practice and spun out in November 2024, this Park City-based venture is reimagining legal risk as predictive intelligence. The name says it all: they are not just keeping score, they are analyzing it, calling the game before anyone realizes the whistle blew.
Founder and CEO Moiz Shirazi has lived in the data trenches for two decades, transforming numbers into narratives long before AI became trendy. With an AB and MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, he views litigation and regulation like economic markets, meant to be forecast, not endured. Alongside him, co-founders Ivan Tsios, Principal Economist out of Chicago, and Nicolas Jeangeorges, Tax Economist Counsel in Luxembourg, bring valuation, transfer pricing, and modeling expertise that turn global complexity into clarity. This is a team of economists who understood lawyers’ pain points better than most lawyers did.
The seed round brought in over $3 million, led by Moneta Ventures with co-investment from Ollin Ventures. Ashu Bhalla of Moneta takes a board seat, while Baker McKenzie keeps a 35 percent equity stake and its own chair. For a first external raise, that is validation with conviction, a clear bet that legal intelligence is about to scale.
The distinction is in the product. SCOREalytics is not LexisNexis with fresher branding. Its Sententio platform consolidates ESG litigation and enforcement activity across 100 jurisdictions, while Custodio tracks regulatory changes and compliance risks in real time. Together, they scan 250 risk domains, delivering predictive alerts that Fortune 500 clients, more than 25 signed since the spin-off, depend on to act before a problem hits the balance sheet. This is foresight over hindsight, insight over noise.
The company’s 35-person team, including 15 engineers, projects $3 million in revenue this year with growth to $10 million by spring 2026. Recognition at LegalTechTalk 2025 underscored their global credibility, signaling that this is not hype, it is traction.
The bigger lesson is that legal risk is no longer linear. ESG, cybersecurity, tax, trade, and data privacy intersect in unpredictable ways. Enterprises that wait to react will pay for it. Enterprises that harness predictive intelligence will shape outcomes. SCOREalytics is positioning itself as the scoreboard, the referee, and the commentator in that game.
