Miami just got louder. Betr Holdings, Inc., the gaming and media company co-founded in August 2022 by Joey Levy and Jake Paul, just inked a deal that fuses basketball royalty with betting culture. Lonzo Ball and LiAngelo Ball aren’t slapping their names on a sponsorship, they’re stepping in as equity partners, a move that signals skin in the game and intent to build something bigger than highlight reels.
Joey Levy isn’t new to this grind. The Columbia dropout turned Thiel Fellow built Simplebet into the machine learning backbone for DraftKings, Caesars, Bet365, and ESPN Bet. Jake Paul, part boxer, part entrepreneur, co-founded Anti Fund and Most Valuable Promotions while running an empire that’s as disruptive as it is polarizing. Together, they set Betr in motion from Miami’s Edgewater, scaling to more than 145 employees with a platform that feels designed for the casual fan who hates clunky apps and loves instant action.
Now, the Ball brothers are sliding their “What An Experience” podcast under Betr Media’s roof, rebranded to relaunch with NBA tip-off week. Lonzo will host from Cleveland, LiAngelo from Los Angeles, and the guest-driven format promises 40 episodes a year that blur the lines between sports and culture. This isn’t filler content, it’s distribution fuel poured into Betr Media’s rocket, which has already amassed 7.3 million followers, 4 billion impressions, and 209 million engagements since 2022. Twice crowned with Hashtag Sports Awards, Betr Media is already a juggernaut.
On the gaming side, Betr Picks launched in July 2023 and has already paid out over $250 million to hundreds of thousands of users. It offers 10,000X multipliers and a Mystery Multiplier that can flip a modest pick into a windfall. Betr Arcade followed in August 2025 across 29 states with skill-based games like 21 and Fruit Match. Then came Betr Sportsbook in August 2024, armed with Same Game Parlays, micro-markets, and market access in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Indiana, Colorado, and Kentucky. Together, Betr products now cover 65 percent of the U.S. population across 34 jurisdictions.
The leadership bench is equally sharp. Alex Ursa leads gaming, Mike Denevi runs media, Adrian Figueroa drives finance, Ashwin Krishnan oversees legal and business affairs, Dan Maas scales partnerships and strategy, and Andrew Winchell navigates government affairs.
Fuel matters, and Betr has raised $100 million to date. The $50 million Series A in August 2022 brought in Florida Funders, Aliya Capital Partners, and Fuel Venture Capital with celebrity investors like Travis Scott and Dez Bryant. A $35 million Series A2 in June 2023, co-led by IA Sports Ventures, Eberg Capital, and Fuel, pegged the company at a $300 million pre-money valuation. A $15 million round in March 2024, co-led by Harmony Partners and 10x Capital, pushed valuation to $375 million.
This Ball brothers partnership isn’t just another marketing play. It’s equity, ownership, and alignment with a company betting on micro-moments to capture macro markets. Betr has always been about turning real-time action into opportunity, and Lonzo and LiAngelo just doubled down.
