Claim Health Secures $4.4M Seed Funding for AI-Driven Revenue Operations in Post-Acute Care

Funding Announcement

Claim Health did not show up quietly. It arrived like a billing department that finally learned how to speak in complete sentences. Founded in April 2025 and headquartered at 368 9th Ave in New York City, Claim Health was built for the part of healthcare everyone depends on and nobody wants to touch. Post acute care runs on referrals, authorizations, claims, and patience. Mostly patience. Kevin Calcado and Jayen Ram looked at that mess and decided patience was not a strategy.

Kevin Calcado, Co-Founder and CEO, had already lived inside the revenue engine at Dandy and Jolly. He saw how clean systems scale and how messy ones tax every human in the room. Jayen Ram, Co-Founder and Engineering Lead, had been in the trenches building healthcare platforms that serve thousands of providers. Together they saw the same problem from opposite ends of the building. Great care was being delivered. Revenue was leaking out the back door, one denied claim and one forgotten authorization at a time.

Claim Health closed a $4.4M seed round led by Maverick Ventures, with Lexi Henkel backing the conviction. Peak XV Partners, Y Combinator, and Digital Health Venture Partners joined in, along with C-suite operators from post acute care organizations who know this pain personally because it shows up on their P and L every month. This was not speculative capital. This was operators funding a fix they want to use.

The timing matters. Claim Health came out of Y Combinator Spring 2025, the first spring cohort, where agentic AI was not a buzzword but a mandate. Since Demo Day in June 2025, the company delivered 15x revenue growth in under four months and 30x in under a year. Early customers like Ascend Health, Interim HealthCare, and Home Care RN cut administrative workload by more than half, pushed referral throughput up to four times higher, and reduced preventable denials by as much as 50 percent. Claims stopped slipping. Health followed.

The product earns its name. Claim Health runs the full referral to reimbursement workflow, intake, eligibility, authorization, claims, reconciliation, with document AI, browser automation, desktop automation, and voice agents that actually pick up the phone. It navigates payer portals so staff do not have to memorize them. It generates appeals when claims stall. It submits the clean ones automatically and flags the messy ones before money disappears.

There are roughly 68,000 post acute care providers in the United States, all dealing with rising complexity, staffing shortages, and growth that punishes weak infrastructure. Home health volumes are climbing. The paperwork is climbing faster. Claim Health is not selling hope. It is selling time back to operators who want their teams focused on care, not clicks.

Maverick Ventures Managing Partner Ambar Bhattacharyya has spent a career betting on healthcare infrastructure that actually works. This bet fits. Claim Health is building toward fully autonomous billing with a founder team that knows revenue, engineering, and the cost of getting it wrong. Follow this one closely. Claims are finally starting to tell the truth, and the system is listening.
